However, even if the airport reopens, severe flight disruptions are expected to continue overnight and tomorrow morning, February 3rd. Further spontaneous closures cannot be excluded. Rail and road transport are also severely disrupted due to the cold snap currently affecting Italy. According to forecasters, extreme weather conditions could last until February 10th.
